OUR STORY

From a Garage in Astoria to a Gentleman’s Wrist
It all kicked off quietly in 2018. Our founder, a young mechanic in Queens, New York, spent his days working on luxury cars most people only ever see from afar. Yet rather than fuss over the price tags, he was absolutely enamoured with the wheels themselves—mesmerised by their perfect balance and graceful motion.
He’d often say he felt “stoked” to get his hands on such exquisite engineering. To him, these alloys weren’t just about glitz; they were a study in purposeful design.

A Remark That Changed Everything
One afternoon, in the Astoria garage where James worked, a customer made a simple yet profound observation:
“Life, much like a turning wheel, quietly carries us along. We mark each stop on our journey like chapters in a story.”
That struck a chord. In the whirl of a wheel, James saw the gentle march of time itself – always turning, marking our milestones. Why not capture that feeling in a watch? Not as some gimmick, but as a thoughtful companion on life’s winding road. By 2019, YDCWatch was already on the drawing board.

The New York Standard. The Swiss Touch.
Inspired by the curves and spokes of luxury alloy wheels, James began sketching watch dials that channeled that same powerful elegance. Every detail is meticulously considered to bring a hint of automotive flair to your wrist.
That inspiration, born in a Queens garage, now comes to life in our design studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Here, our bold American style is fused with two pillars of horological excellence: the legendary precision of Swiss components and the unmatched reliability of a Japanese Miyota movement.
This is our winning formula: American creativity, Swiss precision, and Japanese performance—the very soul of a YDCWatch.

A Personal Vision, Shared with the World
YDCWatch is more than just telling the time. It stands for marking your progress in life. In the daily grind or during life’s crowning moments, your watch is a steadfast companion—ticking forward with purpose, just like you.
From a modest garage in Queens to a successful Kickstarter launch in 2021, we now serve customers worldwide. Each piece embodies the same unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and vision that got us started.

The 48|48 Assurance
We believe in quality. Trust matters, too. Since 2020, we’ve offered our 48|48 guarantee: You get 48 days to change your mind. If you’re not completely in love with your watch, return it in its original condition for a full refund – no questions asked.
On top of that, we provide a solid 48-month warranty for your peace of mind. Each YDCWatch is built to last and grows only richer in meaning with every passing moment. We don’t just talk a good game – we aim to earn your confidence from day one.

A Bold American Horological Revolution
If bold engineering and uncompromising design speak to you, YDCWatch awaits. We stand as a new generation of American watchmakers, interpreting the raw power and rebellious spirit of our motoring heritage—from the iconic lines of a Ford Mustang to the track-bred dominance of the Corvette—into genuine horological art. Our signature 360° rotors pay tribute to the legends that defined the American open road.
But we’re not merely ticking off hours; we’re continuing the great American tradition of disruption, where raw power meets refined purpose.
Time, like the open highway, stretches forward with endless possibility—as steadfast as the Statue of Liberty, as boundless as the American frontier.
Choose a companion worthy of your drive. For individuals who know that true luxury, like true character, isn’t about where you’ve been, but where you’re going.

Midnight in Astoria: Where YDC Watch’s Logo Was Born
What sets YDCWatch apart isn’t just our heritage or a polished exterior – it’s the relentless attention to detail in every piece we make. Our logo is not simply decorative: it’s precision-cut, echoing the very needle of a speedometer from the world’s most prestigious cars, a symbol chosen for its clarity, ambition, and quiet resolve.
Years ago, in Astoria, after the last light went out in the workshop and the city had faded to silence, I’d often find myself behind the wheel, watching that slender hand flicker under the dashboard glow. It was there, in the hush, that I understood how real progress is made – not with noise, but with focus and purpose. That single determined line was enough to cut through the stillness, a silent promise to keep moving forward.
That is the story we’ve set in steel and enamel. When you wear a YDCWatch, you don’t just wear a timepiece – you wear a quiet determination that’s been with you all along. It’s a gentle reminder that movement isn’t about fanfare, but about never losing sight of where you want to go.
